Joseph W. Doherty
Ph.D. UCLA, 2006
This is a yearlong seminar on conducting empirical legal research. It covers research design, statistics, data analysis, and critical reading of empirical literature. Grades are based on 3 short papers and a group presentation. The fall course is in preparation for the Spring term, in which students conduct original empirical research of their own.
