Law 119 - MLS Capstone Seminar
J.D. Yale, 1997
During the final semester of their degree program, MLS candidates have the option to participate in this capstone seminar where they can sharpen and then apply the skills and knowledge they have developed during their time in the program. The in-class portion of the seminar focuses on the interpersonal skills of presenting legal information to, and drawing legally relevant information from, various stakeholders. The remainder of the seminar is used to develop, provide feedback on, and ultimately present each candidate's own tailored capstone project.
Students will gain experience applying, to a real-world problem of their own choosing, the legal reasoning skills that they have developed as part of their coursework. Students will further gain experience using, in real-world interactions, legally relevant communication skills, including some introduced during the in-class portion of this seminar.
