The aim of this course is to provide law school students with a strong foundation in securities markets, investments, and valuation. Topics include discounting and present values, the valuation of bonds and stocks, corporate investment evaluation and capital budgeting, risk and return, optimal portfolio choice, asset pricing models, derivatives markets, raising equity capital, and mergers and acquisitions.
