Law 340 - Individual Research

General Course Description:

Students undertake legal research under the supervision of a faculty member resulting in an original scholarly paper analyzing a particular area of law. All work must be done under a faculty member’s supervision, and several drafts of the paper should be submitted to the faculty member for review throughout the term. Ordinarily, papers are due on the last day of the examination period. This course may be taken for one to five units of credit which will be determined in conjunction with the faculty member.

Applications are available online at and must be submitted by the end of the first week of classes. This course must be taken for an alphabetical grade.
