Law 808 - Part-Time Externship: Government/Civil Practice
The Part-time Civil/Government Externship Seminar is intended to be experiential and serves as the companion course for law students enrolled in part-time externships in civil/government settings (e.g., federal, state and local; litigation, compliance, regulatory, legislative, policy analysis, adjudication, etc.). Students will gain an understanding of practice in a variety of civil governmental settings and they will have an opportunity to discuss issues that arise in these practice settings. Students will be exposed to the varied issues that confront government lawyers on a daily basis and learn skills needed to resolve the issues in a timely and practical manner. Students will reflect on their externships and incorporate the skills they are learning into the classroom discussions.
