The Part-time Public Interest Lawyering Externship Seminar is intended to be experiential and serves as the companion course for law students enrolled in part-time externships in an array of public interest law practice settings (e.g. direct client service, impact litigation, community lawyering center, policy, legislative reform, etc.).  Students will gain an understanding of practice in a variety of civil public interest law practice settings and they will have an opportunity to discuss issues that typically arise.  Students will be exposed to the varied issues that confront public interest lawyers on a daily basis and learn skills needed to resolve the issues in a timely and practical manner.  Students will reflect on their externships and incorporate the skills they are learning into the classroom discussions.
