Law 447 - Corporate Finance - Securities Markets and Corporate Value
The aim of this course is to provide law school students with a strong foundation in securities markets, investments, and valuation. Topics include discounting and present values, the valuation of bonds and stocks, corporate investment evaluation and capital budgeting, derivatives markets, raising equity capital, mergers and acquisitions, and distressed debt. No previous background in finance or Excel is necessary. The course strikes a balance between theoretical paradigms and practical application.
